Just before the Covid-19 global health crisis, the European Commission had launched the Green Deal. Its aim is to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 for the European continent. This implies ensuring consistency across climate, energy, environmental, agricultural, economic and industrial strategies. The European economic stimulus plan increases coherence across these strategies. Specifically, the European Commission aims to speed up the renovation of buildings, something that has become necessary to reach climate neutrality in Europe. France of course is speeding up the energy-efficient renovation of buildings through the implementation of adapted mechanisms described in this issue of ADEME International. In this edition:
- EDITORIAL / "Energy-efficient renovation appears to be one of thefundamental pillars of the economic stimulus plan". Philippe Masset, International and Europe Director at ADEME;
- FOCUS / Stimulating energy-efficient renovation in Europe;
- EXPERTISE / Energy-efficient renovation gathers speed in France;
