Excess heat
Présentation
Industry has an excess heat potential of 109.5 TWh, i.e. 36% of its fuel consumption, 52.9 TWh of which are over 100°C. To this is added 8.4 TWh of heat discharged from HWIP, WWTP and Data Centers. In addition 16.7 TWh of excess heat (> 60°C) is located close to existing district heating systems. This excess heat could heat the equivalent of slightly over 1.66 million lodgings
