This document is the first deliverable of the sugar sector transition plan. It presents the key issues of the decarbonisation of the sector. It aims to open a dialogue with a wide audience as part of the construction of the action plan. It was produced on the basis of literature review and first interviews with the sector's manufacturers. These results will be further developed in the sector transition plan future deliverables.
