Mobility in all its forms is a major global challenge, highlighted by the current health crisis and issues around climate change. The European objective of a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the sector by 2050 forces member states to adopt ambitious strategies and coherent and suitable action plans. Within its three usual sections, the current ADEME International newsletter details global mobility challenges, national expertise deployed by ADEME to tackle these challenges and an international and multilateral initiative aimed at developing countries. In this edition:
- EDITORIAL / "The double whammy of technology and behaviour is essential for the success of those sustainable and inclusive mobility programmes" Philippe Masset, Europe and International Director at ADEME;
- FOCUS / Sustainable mobility: a global issue;
- EXPERTISE / A more social and sustainable mobility system in France;
- WORLDWIDE / Mobilising cities around the world to adopt sustainable mobility.
