Do the "nutritional values" of food influence food waste ?
Summary
Présentation
The objective of this study is to better understand the extent to which the “values” individuals assign to food influence the act of discarding it, and to identify, based on this analysis, more effective levers and messages for reducing food waste. It is set against a backdrop where reducing food waste is a central focus of public policy, yet household food waste remains significant and difficult to reduce sustainably without enhanced support. The study thus aimed to move beyond an approach focused solely on stated intentions or individual responsibility by analyzing both the trade-offs made by “consumers,” concrete daily practices, and the scope for action by professionals.
