Présentation

This study aims to gain a greater understanding of the environmental effects induced by deploying, using and maintaining digital solutions intended to bring environmental benefits in various sectors, comparing each one with a non-digital reference solution.

It uses a consequential method to assess the net impacts for nine use cases. For each one we drew up a consequence tree, performed quantitative and analytical assessments on the effects (environmental gains or costs), considered whether they are systematic, and made recommendations for digital solution suppliers, users and public authorities.
