Climate change adaptation in France today
Présentation
The consequences of climate change are already been felt in certain French territories and activity sectors. Many local authorities, trade federations and other economic players and organisations have had to adjust their strategies and activities to deal with these impacts. Some have had to undertake in-depth transformation. The 20 case studies in this collection illustrate the wide spectrum of options when it comes to adapting to climate change. Some of these adaptation actions are based on either eco-systemic services and/or natural resources. Some actions have involved development and planning initiatives, infrastructure and buildings others mobilise new systems of organisation and governance. Each case studies explains how the action contributes to climate change adaptation, it's benefits for the project leader, and the lessons learned, useful for other stakeholders faced with the same climate change adaptation challenges.
