The Sectoral Transition Plans have demonstrated their relevance in mobilizing all concerned stakeholders of a sector towards a common goal of constructing different decarbonisation scenarios. These allow for a shared view of the challenges and necessary decarbonisation investments for a sector, and the identification of the necessary conditions for the implementation of this decarbonisation.
The STPs already carried out as of now constitute a useful basis to foster new decarbonisation initiatives in other sectors.
Before the second half of 2024, all 9 Sectoral Transition Plans initiated by ADEME through the European program LIFE Finance ClimAct will be finalized and published. This guide presents the method upon which the construction of these STPs was made, step by step, and illustrated through the feedback of the STPs carried out by ADEME.
