Approximately 180 million tonnes of building construction products and materials were placed on the market in 2024. 10.7 million tonnes of waste building products and materials were handled by the producer responsibility organisations with a view to recovery, and 29,000 tonnes were reused.

The term “building construction products and materials” refers to those products and materials that are integrated permanently into a building and its plot.

This report takes stock of the building products EPR scheme in France in 2024, on the basis of the information gathered via the SYDEREP reporting system put in place by ADEME, complemented by data supplied by scheme actors. 

In addition to presenting an overview of the sector as a whole, it assesses progress made in achieving the targets set by the EPR scheme specifications and makes a qualitative analysis of the scheme’s data and performance in light of these targets.
