Environmental impact assessment of the digitalization of cultural services

This study was based on the Life CycleAssessment (LCA) of 4 cultural services:"watching a movie", "listening to music","playing video games" and "reading a book".
Several scenarios were studied, includinghistorical uses and more recent uses, notablystreaming.
Sensitivity analyses were performed to studythe impact of certain factors on differentenvironmental issues.
In addition, it is important to note thelimitations of this study and to examine theissue of the rebound effect on a moresystemic scale, but also the limitations of the
"attributional" approach that was used in thisstudy.
Finally, recommendations have been madefor users and service providers, with the aimof integrating more digital sobriety for thesedigital cultural services.
