Approximately 1.4 billion electrical and electronic devices were placed on the market in 2021, totaling 2.5 million tonnes. In 2021, 994,805 tonnes of waste from electrical and electronic equipment were collected in France, with a recycling rate of 77%. This report presents the situation of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) sector in France in 2021 and provides a number of data points from the Registry of Producers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), including:
- Quantities of EEE placed on the market
- Quantities of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) collected and processed
- The European and French regulatory framework
- Data on Producer Responsibility Organisations
- Focus on various thematic areas
Statistical data is presented based on the distinction between household and professional EEE, the categories of the EEE Directive, and the geographical origin (departments, regions with comparisons at the European level). An infographic highlighting the key points for the year 2021 is also available.
