To achieve the goals of renewable energy production by 23% in 2020 and by 32% in 2030 (Law Project on energy transition), the French government is committed to strongly support all the local renewables sectors and in particular the anaerobic digestion. This sector can recycle organic waste into renewable energy while respecting local needs and issues. The objective of this study is to consider the potential of biomethane injectable into the gas grid from Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) sludge in 2020 and in 2050.
